Summary: Package and maintain the OpenOffice.org suite for Ubuntu
Key responsibilities:
Package new releases of OpenOffice.org as they become available, in accord with Ubuntu release schedules and packaging standards
Build a strong working relationship with the upstream OpenOffice.org development community, increasing awareness of Ubuntu's needs and processes
Analyze, triage and respond to bug reports for OpenOffice.org in Ubuntu, forwarding to upstream developers as appropriate
Implement and maintain small Ubuntu-specific extensions to OpenOffice.org
Key skills and qualities:
Ubuntu/Debian package creation and maintenance
Ability to efficiently process bug reports from end users using bug tracking systems
Familiarity with the structure, coding conventions and languages of the OpenOffice.org project, including C++ and Java
