System builders
Our partners use the System Builder Track to add value to their existing product lines, grab market share and increase profits. It offers an unmatched set of services to meet your business needs, improve your product and service offering and generate additional revenue.
While some customers will request a Microsoft operating system, many do not need, or will not pay for the required licenses. With this programme every computer you ship can now include a world-class, hugely popular operating system free of charge.
In addition to an award winning distribution we offer a global support programme to help you with the technical, marketing and support parts of your business.
Profit in new market segments
With Ubuntu you can profitably add Linux and affordable computing into your business model. Many users simply want a virus-free, stable computing platform with great email, productivity and internet browsing tools. Ubuntu delivers.
In education, schools and universties around the world want stable, effective and manageble environments without the headache of managing thousands of software licenses. Ubuntu delivers this across the world.
In enterprise, more and more companies are switching to Linux and Ubuntu, both for developer workstations and servers. IDC forecast that the Linux market is growing at 30% annually due to the stability, reliability and the lower total cost of ownership of Linux. Ubuntu already delivers these benefits to companies like Palmsource, Google, Orange and many more.
Reduce costs of system configuration
Working with Ubuntu reduces your configuration and testing costs when producing new systems:
- Ubuntu offers the best out-of-box driver support of any Linux distribution in the market
- Key Intel and AMD notebook, desktop and server technologies ‘just work’
- Canonical global technical support means personalised and fast response to your configuration issues and queries
Who is the programme for?
The System Builder Track is designed for local and international original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), original device manufacturers (ODMs), system builders and integrators looking to pre-load their computers with Ubuntu. The track covers desktops, laptops and servers.
The track also offers a number of services that will facilitate the process of hardware testing and certification, pre-loading, sales, marketing and support. The number of units shipped with Ubuntu pre-installed is the key determinant of which level you will achieve.
