Landscape is a systems management and monitoring service for Ubuntu Linux offered as a Software as a Service (SaaS) by Canonical. Landscape is a complete solution that helps IT administrators maximize the performance, availability and compliance of their IT infrastructure. Landscape excels in several areas:

• Manages all your systems as easily as one using a simple Web interface, including temporarily disconnected machines.
• Tracks your Ubuntu packages and gives you full control on which packages to deploy to which systems, including local arbitrary repositories.
• Monitors your entire Ubuntu environment and alerts you via email when new packages are available to install.

Because Landscape is offered as a software-as-a-service, it requires no modification of your environment and there are no servers to configure. The client is simple to set up and to use, requiring no user interaction after it's installed.
